Three things, and we hold employers to all of them.
Moving forward, or a decline with the reason — counted from the day the field closes and reaches the employer, who can hold once for one extra week, never more. Not silence, and not a form letter three months later.
No more than 25% wide, and we check the accepted offer against it afterwards. “$70k to $130k” does not post here.
Employers pay to post or hold a membership, card on file; a company's free first role gets a human look before it goes live instead. We watch for postings that look wrong and pull them. Day one of every role is sealed and read as one batch: 11:58 p.m. counts the same as 9:04 a.m., and nobody out-refreshes you.
A credit is only ever spent on an answer. Every ending without one returns the application to your balance, automatically.
A missed deadline also takes the listing off the board. If the role fills after your shortlist reached the employer, that counts as an answer. Returns top you back up to seven; they never stack past it.

Then applying takes a minute.
Joining takes real effort, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. Signing up is three minutes, and you can read every role from then on; the effort comes when you first press Apply, and we hold that application until it is done. You verify who you are. You can name up to three professional references — optional, but worth doing, because you can let us hand them straight to any employer who advances you, so you never type them out for anybody again. You write one cover letter, typed in our editor, that goes to every job you ever apply for here. You answer three short questions.
After that, most jobs are one click. The rest are one click and one short question, written by the employer because they are actually reading the answers. Never a new resume, never a new cover letter. The heavy work is paid once and it never comes back.
Because a tailored one is worthless now and every employer knows it. A letter you wrote once, for everyone, cannot be tuned to flatter anybody. It is just how you write and what you actually want.
We do not run AI detectors on it. They misfire, and Stanford researchers showed in 2023 that they misfire worst for people who learned English second — we are not willing to accuse anyone on those odds.
Seven is more than it sounds.
Among people who landed an offer in 2025, most got there inside fifty applications, and nearly one in five ran past a hundred — Huntr’s count across 1.8 million tracked job entries. Seven a week, with fourteen in hand to start, covers the typical search inside six weeks. The limit is not there to ration you. It is there so that the pile on the other end is small enough for a human being to actually read, which is the only reason anyone can promise you an answer.
